Representing Ghana, Naomi Chioma Anene, 21, almost won The Miss Globe 2020. She was the second runner-up of the 47th edition of the international beauty pageant held annually by Deliart Association, which is based in Tirania, Albania.
Aside from competing in beauty pageants, Anene also loves acting. She is an advocate for environmental care, as well.
It was Lorinda Kolgeci of Kosovo who was crowned The Miss Globe 2020 while Matveeva Evgenia of Siberia was runner-up to her. Thawany Aparecida De Faria of Brazil and Rowena Lucero Sasuluya of the Philippines were the respective third and fourth runners-up.
Hosted by Hygerta Sako, The Miss Globe 2020 coronation night took place at the Olympic Park in Tirania on November 12, 2020. Including Anene, Kolgeci, Evgenia, Faria and Sasuluya, 42 candidates participated in the international beauty pageant amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Anene and Paidamoyo Moreblessing Mangi of Zimbabwe were selected by Joni Peci Store, one of the sponsors, for a photo shoot project. Ijada Baci of Albania was Miss Photogenic while Anna Ferreti of Spain was Miss Fashion.
Sasuluya was voted as People’s Choice, Alie Sabine Van Der Lei of the Netherlands was Miss Social Media and Chimonay Botha of South Africa was Miss Friendship. Miliausha Galimova of Tatarstan was Best in National Costume.
Laura Viviana Renteira of Colombia was named Miss Bikini in one of the preliminary events. Angelina Gorbunova of Russia won the talent competition prior to the coronation night.
The Miss Globe 2019 Alejandra Díaz de León of Mexico was present during the coronation ceremony to personally crown Kolgeci. The outgoing queen was crowned on October 21, 2019 at the Holiday Villages Montenegro in Ulcinj, Montenegro.
