The new Miss Earth will be crowned on November 29, 2020. This is the international beauty pageant’s 20th edition with 84 countries represented including Bangladesh, Burkina Faso and Syria, which are participating for the first time.
Miss Earth 2020 started on September 21, 2020. Due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, reigning queen Nellys Pimentel of Puerto Rico will crown her successor through a virtual coronation night, which will be hosted by James Deakin, who is based in the Philippines.
