Ritu “The Indian Tigress” Phogat, 26, of India was one of the winners at the ONE Championship event “ONE: Big Bang.” It was the Indian mixed martial artist’s fourth win in the Singapore-based martial arts promotion.

Training out of Evolve MMA in Singapore, Phogat solely represented India at “ONE: Big Bang,” which took place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on December 4, 2020. On the fight card were four MMA matches and three kickboxing contests.

In the first bout of the evening, Phogat fought Jomary “The Zamboanganian Fighter” Torres, 24, of the Philippines in an MMA fight in the women’s atomweight division. Justin Brown served as the referee.

Brown put a stop to the atomweight contest after 3 minutes and 55 seconds in the first round. Phogat knocked out Torres via elbows.

Phogat is 156 cm tall. Torres, who is 3 cm taller, trains out of Catalan Fighting Systems in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Beating Torres at “ONE: Big Bang” improved the professional MMA record of Phogat to 4 wins and 0 loss. On the other hand, the Filipino MMA fighter now has 4 wins, 5 losses, 0 draw and 1 No Contest.

A total of 13 countries were represented at “ONE: Big Bang” namely Armenia, Brazil, China, India, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, the United States and Vietnam. Torres was one of the two fighters who represented the Philippines.
