Both Todd Alan Bagley and his wife Stacie Bagley were Christian youth ministers. On the morning of June 21, 1999, they attended a morning worship service at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, United States.

After having lunch with friends that day, Todd stopped at a convenience store called Mickey’s to use the payphone while Stacie waited for him in the car, a Buick LeSabre. He was approached by gang members Christopher Lewis and Tony Sparks, who asked for a ride to their uncle’s house.

Todd agreed to give Lewis and Sparks a ride. While Todd and Stacie occupied the front seats, Lewis and Sparks sat in the backseat with their fellow gang member Christopher Andre Vialva, who gave Todd directions before pointing .40 caliber gun at him and ordering him to stop the car.

With Vialva serving as the mastermind, the gang members robbed the couple before killing them at a secluded area in the Belton Lake Recreation Area on the Fort Hood military reservation with the help of Brandon Bernard and Terry Brown. Todd died instantly when he was shot in the head by Vialva.

Both Todd and Stacie were Christian youth ministers.
