Rade Opacic, 23, of Serbia was one of the winners at the ONE Championship event “ONE: Big Bang 2.” It was the Serbian kickboxer’s first victory in the Singapore-based martial arts organization’s striking-only league ONE Super Series.
Featuring three mixed martial matches, two kickboxing contests and one Muay Thai fight, ONE Championship held “ONE: Big Bang 2” at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on December 11, 2020. In the third bout of the evening, Opacic fought Errol “The Bonecrusher” Zimmerman, 34, of the Netherlands and Curacao in a kickboxing match in the heavyweight division.
Justin Brown served as the referee. He put a stop to the heavyweight contest after 1 minute and 35 seconds in the second round when Opacic knocked out Zimmerman.
Winning at “ONE: Big Bang 2” improved the professional kickboxing record of Opacic to 19 wins and 3 losses. It was his ONE Super Series debut.
Zimmerman also made his ONE Super Series debut at “ONE: Big Bang 2.” He now holds a professional kickboxing record of 82 wins, 28 losses and 1 draw.
A total of 11 countries were represented at “ONE: Big Bang 2” namely Australia, China, Curacao, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Serbia, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States. Opacic solely represented Serbia.
Zimmerman was one of the two fighters who represented the Netherlands and the sole representative of Curacao. He stands 196 cm and trains at Hemmers Gym in Breda, Netherlands.
Opacic is 4 cm taller than Zimmerman. The Serbian kickboxer trains out of Kik Boks Klub Sindjelić (KBKS) Team in Belgrade, Serbia.
