South Korea’s Dae Sung Park earns 4th ONE Championship, beats Amir Khan at ‘ONE: Collision Course 2’

“Crazy Dog” Dae Sung Park, 27, of South Korea was one of the winners at “ONE: Collision Course 2,” the last ONE Championship event in 2020. It was the Korean mixed martial artist’s fourth victory in the Singapore-based martial arts promotion.

Park is training at Team Macho in Ansan, South Korea. He is a ONE Warrior Series alum.

Featuring four MMA fights and two Muay Thai contests, “ONE: Collision Course 2” took place place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore and broadcast in the evening of December 25, 2020. It was pre-recorded with a limited audience in attendance due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In the third bout of the evening, Park fought Amir Khan, 26, of Singapore in an MMA bout in the lightweight division. Yuji Shimada served as the referee.

After three five-minute rounds, the lightweight contest was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, Shimada raised the hand of Park, who was declared the winner via split decision.

 

Competing professionally since 2013, Park joined ONE Championship in 2018. The first three opponents he defeated in the promotion were Trestle Tan of the Philippines, Kimihiro Eto of Japan and Honorio Banario of the Philippines.

Winning at “ONE: Collision Course 2” improved the professional MMA record of Park to 11 wins, 2 losses, 0 draw and 1 No Contest. The Korean MMA fighter is now riding a five-bout winning streak.

On the other hand, Khan to 13 wins and 8 losses. “ONE: Collision Course 2” marked his 19th outing in ONE Championship.

Khan is training at Evolve MMA in Singapore. He stands 180 cm while Park is 178 cm tall.

Nine countries were represented at “ONE: Collision Course 2” namely Algeria, Brazil, China, France, Japan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Singapore and South Korea. Khan solely represented the host country while Park was one of the two representatives of South Korea.
