Formerly named the Gold Coast, Ghana was the first African country to gain independence from European colonization after World War II. In the Middle Ages and the Age of Discovery, several ancient predominantly Akan kingdoms in the Southern and Central territories inhabited the West African country including the Ashanti Empire, the Akwamu, the Bonoman, the Denkyira and the Mankessim Kingdom.

Ghana is home to Lake Volta, Lake Bosumtwi and the Kakum National Park. It is also home to many strong and good-looking men.
