James Harden traded to Brooklyn Nets as Dante Exum, Rodions Kurucs join Houston Rockets?

James Harden, 31, joined the Houston Rockets in 2012. He is reportedly joining the Brooklyn Nets this 2021.

Harden attended Artesia High School in Lakewood, California, United States and Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, USA before his National Basketball Team debut in 2009. He played for the Oklahoma City Thunder before joining the Rockets.

After playing for the Rockets for eight years, Harden was traded to the Nets in a trade involving four teams, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN. The other teams involved were the Indiana Pacers and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Dante Exum, 25, and Rodions Kurucs, 22, are joining the Rockets while Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince are joining the Cavaliers, sources told the publication. Victor Oladipo, 28, of the Pacers and Caris LeVert, 26, of the Nets are reportedly switching teams.

The 75th NBA season started on December 22, 2020. The playoffs will kick off on May 22, 2021 while the 2021 NBA Finals will start before July 8, 2021.


Born in Melbourne, Australia, Exum grew up playing Australian rules football. He participated in the Nike Hoop Summit in April 2013 and graduated from Lake Ginninderra Secondary College in Canberra in October 2013.

In 2014, Exum joined the Utah Jazz, marking his NBA debut. He joined the Cavaliers in 2019.



Born in Cēsis, Latvia, Kurucs played for the Latvian club VEF Rīga from 2012 to 2015 and played at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in 2015. He played for the Spanish basketball club FC Barcelona Bàsquet from 2015 to 2018.

The Nets selected Kurucs in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft on June 21, 2018. He signed a contract with the team on July 16, 2018.
