Chevrolet’s first TikTok video features ‘My Truck’ by Breland, filmed in Nashville, Tennessee

Professionally known as Breland, Daniel Breland, 25, of Burlington, New Jersey, United States is featured in the first ever TikTok video of Chevrolet. The General Motors automobile division headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, USA debuted on the social video app on February 19, 2021.

Chevrolet revamped the lyrics of Breland’s song “My Truck” and used it in the video. The African-American singer-songwriter said, “Chevy was the perfect collaborator to breathe new life into ‘My Truck’ because they truly understand what makes truck culture so special.”

“They appreciate that truck enthusiasts are getting younger and more diverse and that insight was the inspiration for the original version of the song,” Breland continued. “Coming to the table with that shared perspective made the collaborative process of rewriting ‘My Truck’ so much fun.”

Filmed in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, the video features the Silverado LT Trail Boss, the Silverado LT Trail Boss Midnight Edition and the Silverado Custom. Each of the three distinct locations across Nashville seen in the video is paired with the three Chevrolet Silverado trims.
