Dnipro, Ukaine’s Alyona Rassohyna to join 2021 ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix

Alyona Rassohyna (Альона Рассохіна), 30, of Dnipro, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine is one of the eight mixed martial artists who will compete in the inaugural world grand prix of ONE Championship‘s women’s atomweight MMA division. She currently holds a professional MMA record of 13 wins and 4 losses.

Undefeated since 2018, Rassohyna made her ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Unbreakable 3” at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on February 5, 2021. The Dnipro native submitted Stamp Fairtex, 23, of Thailand via guillotine choke.

Rassohyna made her professional MMA debut in 2010. She competed in Oplot Challenge from 2012 to 2013 and in Road FC in 2014.

From 2015 to 2017, the Ukrainian MMA fighter went on hiatus. She made her comeback in 2018 with one win in WWFC and another win in the same promotion in 2019.


The first quarterfinal bout of the 2021 ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix is scheduled for May 28, 2021. The champion of the tournament will challenge reigning ONE Atomweight World Champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee, 24, of Singapore in November 2021.

Including Ukraine, eight countries will be represented in the tournament. The others are China, India, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and the United States.
