She told police that Hamilton had been pressuring her to “get rid of her kids” so on February 26, 2021, she drove from Middletown to Preble County, Ohio with her three children with a plan to abandon them at the Rush Run Wildlife Area in Preble County but ended up leaving only Hutchinson. She claimed that as she drove away, the boy tried to hold on to her car so she dragged him until he let go. She said that 30 minutes later, she returned to the park where she found him dead, picked him up, drove back to their Middletown home and kept the corpse in an upstairs bedroom. (a) (b)

She told police that on the afternoon of February 27, 2021, she drove from Middletown to Lawrenceburg, Indiana, USA with Hamilton, who helped her dump Hutchinson’s body in the Ohio River near the I-275 bridge.   7. At around 10:15 a.m. on February 28, 2021, she and Hamilton went to the Middletown Police Department station to report James Robert missing. She and her boyfriend could not agree on when they had last seen her son. A few hours later, she confessed to killing the boy and showed not much remorse, according to Middletown Police Department chief David Birk(a) (b)
  8. Her sister Heather believed she was covering up for Hamilton. Heather said, “I didn’t see how she’s going to make murder her first charge ever in her life but if it does come down to where they prove her then 100 percent guilty, then I have no choice but to believe it.” (c)
