The Miss Universe 2020 coronation night will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Davie, Broward County, Florida, United States at 8:00 p.m. ET on May 16, 2021. This is the 69th edition of the international beauty pageant.

The competition did not take place in 2020 because of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The host of the ceremony has yet to be announced.

Reigning Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi, 27, of South Africa was crowned at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on December 8, 2019. Among all the first 68 queens of the beauty pageant, she had the longest reign.

 

As of March 24, 2021, there are 74 women confirmed to compete in Miss Universe 2020. Here are the candidates from Africa:

  1. Angèle Kossinda, 28, Cameroon
  2. Aya Abdelrazik, 24, Egypt
  3. Chelsea Tayui, 25, Ghana
  4. Vandana Jeetah, 28, Mauritius
  5. Natasha Joubert, 23, South Africa
