Drequan Maurice Antonio Franklin, 26, of Richmond, Virginia, United States has been arrested. Aside from being charged with abduction and domestic assault, he is also facing drug charges.
On March 13, 2021, Chesterfield County Police officers responded near N. White Mountain Drive and Rotunda Lane in Chester, Chesterfield County, Virginia for reports of a suspicious incident. The officers viewed surveillance footage from a nearby homeowner.
In the video, Franklin is seen getting out of a car and assaulting a woman. She yelled, “Stop!”
“What the f**k is wrong with you?” the woman yelled at Franklin. “What the f**k is wrong with you?”
Screaming for help at a quiet street, the woman repeatedly asked Franklin to get off her. He then forcibly put her in his car, which turned right onto N. Enon Church Road in Chester.
The victim was safe when the officers located her on March 14, 2021. On the same day, Franklin was taken into custody.
Currently, Franklin is being held without bond at Chesterfield County Jail. The drug charges he is facing are possession of a schedule I or II drug and possession of a firearm while in possession of a schedule I or II drug, according to NBC 12.
Franklin attended George Wythe High School in Richmond. He graduated in 2013.
