Jason Brent Collier is a white man from Texas, United States. He was an Federal Bureau of Investigation-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) Trilogy graduate, a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) instructor and a police officer.

Collier was married twice. He has two children with his first wife and two children with his second wife Opal Sissie Koenig-Collier.

While married to Opal, Jason he had two girlfriends namely Kristi Shaffer and Cecily Steinmetz, who did not know each other and were unaware he was married. He told Steinmetz he was divorced in 2016.

  4. From January 2008 to August 2010, he was the chief of police of the Ralls Police Department in Ralls, Texas. (a)
  5. From August 2010 to October 2015, he was a detective with the Pampa Police Department in Pampa, Texas. (a)
  6. In 2015, he underwent a leadership training and development for future leaders in Texas law enforcement, which was conducted by the Texas Police Chiefs Association. From October 2015 to January 2016, he was the chief of police of the Sunray Police Department in Sunray, Texas. (a)
  7.  In 2016, the state of Texas awarded him and three other officers with the Medal of Valor for helping to save the life of Sergeant Houston Gass, who was shot in the face during a standoff. (d)

From January 2016 to June 2016, he was a deputy sheriff at the Gray County Sheriff’s Department in Pampa. In June 2016, he joined Greyhound Lines, Inc. in Amarillo as a customer experience supervisor.   10. On September 3, 2020, he tagged Opal in a Facebook post. He wrote a lengthy message which started with, “Happy anniversary to my beautiful bride!” (f)
  11. On January 24, 2021, Steinmetz returned to Amarillo from a trip with him to Taos, New Mexico, USA. They broke up on January 25, 2021. On January 26, 2021, she took to Facebook to reveal that he was cheating on his wife with two women. He was accused of faking a marriage annulment, which he showed to Steinmetz. On January 27, 2021, he was placed on administrative leave while the city of Stinnett was investigating possible violations of city employment policy. (d) (f)
  12. On January 28, 2021, he was arrested for investigation of tampering with a governmental record with the intent to defraud. He was booked into the Hutchinson County Jail in Stinnett. He was 41 years old when he was arrested. (d) (e)
  13. Interviewed by Dr. Phil McGraw, he was featured on “Dr. Phil” episodes aired on March 23, 2021 and March 24, 2021. Speaking about Steinmetz, he told McGraw, “We would talk about marriage issues and things but actually coming out and saying, ‘Will you marry me?,’ I don’t remember asking. I know I never said that to anybody in person. We might have been jokingly saying that in a text.”
