On October 3, 2023, he was found guilty of two felonies, including obstruction of an official proceeding and civil disorder, and five misdemeanor charges after a bench trial before U.S. District Chief Judge James E. Boasberg.
He was 44 years old when he was sentenced on January 24, 2024 by Boasberg to 6 years in prison and 36 months of supervised release with a fine of $7,946 and $2,000 in restitution.
