A stray dog named Sisu tried to steal a stuffed unicorn toy at a Dollar General store in Duplin County, North Carolina, United States five times. The purple toy has a red horn and red hooves.
Animal control was called to remove Sisu from the store and the police officer who responded bought the purple unicorn toy with her own money and gave it to the stray dog. On March 26, 2021, photographer Mary Shannon Johnstone of Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina took to Facebook to share photos of the dog, the toy and cop and the post immediately went viral.
According to Johnstone, the police officer brought Sisu to the Duplin County Animal Shelter in Kenansville, Duplin County. The dog has been adopted was adopted the same day it was brought to the shelter.
