Professionally known as Doja Cat, South African-American Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, 25, has a new song titled “Kiss Me More” featuring Solána Imani “SZA” Rowe, 30. The music video of the song is now available on YouTube.
Produced by David A. Sprecher, who is professionally known as Yeti Beats, “Kiss Me More” is the first single from Cat’s upcoming album titled “Planet Her.” She co-wrote the song with SZA, Beats, Rogét Chahayed, 32, Lukasz Sebastian “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, 47, and Carter Lang, 29, and tizhimself.
Warren Fu directed the music video, which offers the first glimpse into the brand new world Cat is creating. Signed to Partizan Entertainment and Creative Artists Agency, Fu was responsible for designing the concept art of General Grievous in the “Star Wars” prequels.
Cat’s domination continues with the news that “Planet Her” is coming summer 2021 via Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. It is her third studio album following “Amala” and “Hot Pink,” which were both released by Kemosabe Records and RCA Records.
Released on March 30, 2018, “Amala” has 13 tracks including “Candy.” The album’s deluxe version has three bonus tracks namely “Juicy,” “Mooo!” and “Tia Tamera” featuring Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly, 23, who is professionally known as Rico Nasty.
“Hot Pink” was released on November 7, 2019. Its standard version has 12 tracks including “Say So,” “Rules, “Juicy” with Michael Ray “Tyga” Nguyen-Stevenson, 31, “Won’t Bite” featuring Christopher “Smino” Smith Jr., 29, and “Like That” featuring Radric Delantic Davis, 41, who is professionally known as Gucci Mane.
On March 7, 2021, Cat performed “Say So” during the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards where the song was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. She was also nominated for Best New Artist.
“Kiss Me More” is the first collaboration song of Cat and SZA. The latter has yet to release a new studio album after her debut studio album “Ctrl,” which was released by Top Dawg Entertainment and RCA Records on June 9, 2017.
