  7. On March 3, 2020, he purchased a pump action shotgun. Hours later, his mother called police to say that he might commit “suicide by cop.” The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to the mental health call at his residence in Indianapolis. The officers seized his shotgun and placed him on an immediate detention mental health temporary hold. The officers involved were Max Tryba, Breann Leath, Benjamin Heffner, Robert Robinson, Paul Humphrey and Kelly Chappell. (b) (f) (g)

  9. When a family member reached out to authorities warning about his potential for violence, the Federal Bureau of Investigation opened a preliminary investigation into any possible threat.
