Rashidi R. Slaughter, 43, of Auburn, Seattle, Washington, United States has been arrested. He was charged with telephone harassment.
Slaughter is accused of leaving a voicemail for Seattle mayor Jenny Durkan at her office threatening to kill her on the morning of April 27, 2021. He was arrested at his home on South 292nd Street in Auburn that day and was booked into the Seattle Correctional Facility at 11:04 p.m.
The threats are unfortunate, KOMO News quoted Durkan as saying. According to her, her family has experienced numerous death threats.
Authorities have yet to release Slaughter’s mugshot. Aside from Seattle, he has lived in other parts of Washington including Tacoma, Tukwila and Spanaway.
