Roshan Mainam vs Gurdarshan Mangat at ‘ONE: Dangal’ in Singapore

Roshan “The Indian Notorious” Mainam, 24, of Thoubal, Manipur, India is one of the Indian mixed martial artists competing at the upcoming ONE Championship event titled “ONE: Dangal.” It will be his fourth bout in the Singapore-based martial arts organization.

ONE Championship will hold “ONE: Dangal” at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on May 15, 2021. One of the matches is a catchweight bout between Mainam and Gurdarshan “Saint Lion” Mangat, 33, of India and Canada.

Both Mainam and Mangat are Super Fight League alumni. They also both joined ONE Championship in 2019.

Mangat has been competing professionally since 2011. Aside from Super Fight League, he also competed in Battlefield Fight League, Combat Games MMA and BRAVE Combat Federation before joining ONE Championship.

Currently, Mangat holds a professional MMA record of 15 wins and 3 losses. Before losing to Reece “Lightning” McLaren, 29, of Australia, the Canadian-Indian MMA fighter defeated his first two ONE Championship opponents Toni “Dynamite” Tauru, 36, of Finland and Abro “The Black Komodo” Fernandes, 30, of Indonesia and Timor Leste.

Mainam has been competing professionally since 2016. He competed in JSJ Fight League before competing in Super Fight League and ONE Championship.

Currently, Mainam holds a professional MMA record of 6 wins and 2 losses. He is riding a three-bout winning streak.

When Mainam made his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Masters of Fate” on November 8, 2019 in the Philippines, he submitted Khon Sichan of Cambodia. On October 9, 2020, the Thoubal native submitted Liu Pengshuai, 24, of China at “ONE: Reign of Dynasties.”

Mainam’s most recent fight was at “ONE: Fists of Fury 3” in Singapore on March 19, 2021. He submitted Abdul Aziz “The Krauser” Calim, 22, of Indonesia and the Philippines.
