Kevin Madden, 31, of Rogers, Benton County, Arkansas, United States has been arrested. He was charged with two counts sexual indecency with a child and one count of engaging a child in sexually explicit conduct for use in visual or print media.

Madden was a youth pastor with Discover Church in Rogers. His employment there ended after his recent arrest, a member of the church told Northwest Arkansas News.

“He was terminated from his position prior to his arrest,” the Discover Church member said of Madden. “We turned him over to the authorities as soon as allegations were made against him. Any further information needs to come from our attorneys.”

On April 30, 2021, a Discover Church member contacted the authorities to report a crime involving a minor. According to the tipster, Madden sent nude pictures of himself to a female minor.

The alleged victim told detectives that Madden took to Snapchat to send her photos of his penis and photos of himself showering. He also allegedly asked another minor to send nude photos to him.

Both of the alleged victims are also Discover Church members. When a detective interviewed Madden, he admitted that he did send to one of the alleged victims a photo of his penis and photos of him in the shower.

However, Madden denied asking the other female minor to send him nude photos. According to Madden, he had not touched the two alleged victims.

On May 7, 2021, Madden was arrested and initially held at the Benton County Jail in Bentonville, Benton County on no bond. But on May 8, 2021, he was released on a $50,000 cash bond.

“Last Friday, we were made aware of allegations against a staff member,” Discover Church said in a statement obtained by 5NEWS. “In response to these claims, we immediately notified the authorities and the Department of Human Services and placed Mr. Madden on administrative leave, pending the results of the investigation.”
