Maya “May” Mangaliman Talabanza Millette, 39, of Chula Vista, San Diego, California, United States is still missing. She was last seen on January 7, 2021.
The last person to see May was her husband Larry J. Ibarreta Millete, 39. He currently works as a civilian contractor at the optometry department of the Naval Medical Center San Diego, which is located within the grounds of Balboa Park in San Diego, family members told CBS 8.
Larry’s father Benito Millete is a U.S. Navy retiree and 20-year veteran who reported to Pearl Harbor in Oahu, Hawaii, USA in August 1997. When their family moved from San Diego to Hawaii in 1999, Larry enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) in Honolulu, Hawaii.
It was in Hawaii where Larry and May met. They got married in 1999.

On December 6, 2001, Larry was assigned to the Naval Medical Center San Diego where he carried out routine optician duties with no combat service. Prior to this, he attended boot camp and Naval Hospital Corps School at the Naval Station Great Lakes in Lake County, Illinois, USA and underwent training in Portsmouth, Virginia, USA and in Yorktown, York County, Virginia.
In 2003, Larry received a good conduct medal, a Navy and Marine Corps achievement medal, a National Defense service medal and a global war on terrorism medal. A pistol sharpshooter ribbon was also awarded to him.
Larry was a hospital corpsman when his active service ended on August 27, 2005. His U.S. Navy reserve obligation ended on January 10, 2008.

The Chula Vista Police Department has yet to declare Larry as a suspect in May’s disappearance. He is expected to appear in San Diego County Superior Court on June 22, 2021 for a hearing on the temporary gun violence restraining order.

why isn’t he the number 1 suspect? And why are the children not allowed to visit with their grandparents? I mean common sense….these poor kids just lost their mother they shouldn’t lose the rest of their family. Or is it fear they made divulge important information….
