Nicole Marie Gennarini Cresswell, 24, of Wesley Chapel, Pasco County, Florida, United States has been arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol. She was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a death.
At around 5:45 p.m. on June 15, 2021, Cresswell was driving a gray 2019 Nissan Sentra when she fatally struck a woman, 64, outside a home on Robin Roost Lane in Wesley Chapel, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The victim, whose name was not released, was using a mobility scooter to go check a mailbox on the side of the road.
Without checking the victim, Cresswell fled right after the crash, which caused damage to the front right portion of the 2019 Nissan Sentra. Florida Highway Patrol troopers later found vehicle parts at the crash scene.
Just before midnight, the troopers arrested Cresswell on Shenandoah Run in Wesley Chapel and transported her to the Pasco County Jail in Land o’ Lakes, Pasco County. She told them she hit a deer earlier but she could not tell where she hit the deer.
