Jon “Rahmbo” Rahm, 26, of Spain is the first ever Spanish golfer to win the United States Open Championship. He is the champion of the 121st edition of the national open golf championship of the U.S.
Rahm beat 155 other golfers to win the 2021 U.S. Open, which was held on the South Course at the Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, San Diego, California, USA from June 17-20, 2021. Runner-up to him was Louis “Shrek” Oosthuizen, 38, of South Africa.
The Spanish golfer made birdie on his final two holes to finish one shot ahead of Oosthuizen. Harris English, 31, of Georgia, USA ranked third.

Born in Barrika, Basque County, Spain, Rahm to a Basque father and Madridian mother, Rahm does not come from a dynasty of golf players. He attended Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, USA on a golf scholarship.
In 2016, Rahm earned his bachelor’s degree in communication. In the same year, he made his professional golf debut and tied for 23rd place in the U.S. Open.
In 2017 and in 2018, Rahm was cut in the U.S. Open. He tied for third place in 2019 and tied for 23rd place in 2020.
Also in 2019, Rahm married his college sweetheart Kelley Cahill Rahm, 27. They live in Scottsdale, Arizona and their son Kepa Cahill Rahm was born on April 3, 2021.
