Eugene “Gene” K. Siller was a professional golfer from Kennesaw, Georgia, United States. He and his wife have two children.

Siller attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, USA. He was an assistant professional at the St. Ives Country Club in Johns Creek, Georgia, where he spent a large portion of his professional golf career.

Before joining the staff of the Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Siller was director of golf and head golf pro at Summit Chase Country Club in Snellville, Georgia. Here are 13 more things about him:

  1. In 2007, he started competing in Georgia’s Professional Golfer Association (PGA) Section golfing tournaments. He finished 10th in the Assistants’ Championship at the Governors Towne Club in Acworth, Georgia on September 17, 2007.
  2. On May 27, 2008, he finished 10th at the Cleveland Golf/Club Car Pro-Assistant Championship in the Cherokee Town and Country Club-South in Atlanta, Georgia.
  3. On September 20, 2010, he finished 34th in the Assistants’ Championship in the Achasta Gold Club in Dahlonega, Georgia.
  4. He finished 13th in the Player of the Year in the Georgia Open, which took place at The Legends at Chateau El in Braselton, Georgia from August 2-5, 2012, and 15th in the GPGA Professional Championship at The Standard Club in Johns Creek on October 2, 2012.
  5. On May 13, 2013, he finished eighth in the Assistant Division Stroke Play @ Cartersville at the Cartersville Country Club in Cartersville, Georgia.
  6. On May 20, 2014, he finished 11th in the Chicopee Woods Players’ Championship at the Chicopee Woods Golf Club- Vil/Mil in Gainesville, Georgia.

  11. He finished 24th in the Player of the Year in the Milton Martin Honda Classic, which took place at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville from May 20-21, 2020, and 23rd in the Club Car Pro-Assistant Championship at the Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Georgia on June 29, 2020.
  12. From May 25-25, 2021, he competed in the Yamaha Atlanta Open at the Pinetree Country Club. He finished 41st in the Player of the Year and tied for 61st in the Professionals.
  13. Just before 2:30 p.m. on July 3, 2021, he was working at the Pinetree Country Club when he was fatally shot by an unknown suspect. He died at the age of 46.
