Who is Thessaly Zimmerman?

Thessaly Zimmermanis an Aruban tennis player and beauty queen. An advocate for mental health, she has worked with different health organizations and the government of Aruba to work on a campaign that aims to create awareness for mental health. 

Hailing from Oranjestad, Aruba, Zimmerman speaks English, Spanish and Dutch. Aside from tennis, she also excelled in track and field.

Aside from Aruba, Zimmerman also lived in the Netherlands. Here are 21 more things about her:

1. From 2006 to 2013, she attended Colegio Arubano in Oranjestad.
2. In May 2010, she started raising money for the cancer fund of Koningin Wilhelmina Kanker Fonds Aruba. 
3. In June 2010, she competed in Aruba Model Search and finished in the Top 7. 
4. From July 2010 to August 2014, she worked as a model for KOMA Models in Aruba.
5. On July 15, 2012, she competed against 11 other Miss Teen Aruba International 2012 at the Renaissance Convention Center in Oranjestad and won the title.
6. From September 2012 to July 2013, she worked as a sales clerk for Sport Caribe in Oranjestad.
7. In April 2013, she started raising money for the breast cancer fund of Mary Joan Foundation Aruba.
8. On July 27, 2013, she represented Aruba at Miss Teen Americas 2013 and competed against 16 other candidates in El Salvador. She was runner-up to Fulvia Villarreal of Panama.
9. From August 2013 to July 2014, she worked as a clothing sales clerk for Trash by Ronchi in Oranjestad.
10. From 2014 to 2020, she attended the University of Applied Science Utrecht in Utrecht, Netherlands where she earned her bachelor’s degree international communication and media studies. 
11. From 2016 to 2017, she studied music marketing and management at the University of Applied Science Utrecht.
12. On October 30, 2016, she competed at Miss Amsterdam 2016 at the Stadsschouwburg of Amsterdam in Amsterdam. She was runner-up to Ireda Nijboer.
13. From February 2016 to June 2020, she was worked as shift lead for Pollux Pacific in Amsterdam.
14. From February 2018 to July 2018, she was a back office intern at TravelBird in Amsterdam.
15. In July 2020, she started working as a receptionist at WOW Amsterdam in Amsterdam.
16. On July 18, 2021, she served as one of the judges at Miss Teen Aruba International 2021.
17. On July 30, 2021, she was officially appointedMiss Universe Aruba 2021.
18. On December 12, 2021, she represented Aruba at Miss Universe 2021 and competed against 79 other candidates in Eilat, Israel. She finished in the Top 10.
19. On July 31, 2022, her successor Miss Universe Aruba 2022 Kiara Arends was officially appointed.
20. On August 20, 2023, she hosted Miss Universe Aruba 2023 at the Renaissance Convention Center, Oranjestad with Nurianne Arias and Sandra Werleman.
21. On September 12, 2024, she turned 30.
