Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Khamzat “Borz” Chimaev, 27, of Sweden is currently in Konin, Poland. The Chechen-Swedish mixed martial arts superstar will serve as a cornerman for his teammate Bilal “Borz” Tipsaev, 22, of Sweden at “BRAVE CF 54.”
Featuring nine bouts, BRAVE Combat Federation will hold “BRAVE CF 54” in Konin on September 25, 2021. In the second bout of the evening, Tipsaev will face Glenn McVeigh, 24, of Northern Ireland in the bantamweight division.
Tipsaev borrowed his fight name from Chimaev. The two train at Allstars Training Center in Stockholm, Sweden.
A former BRAVE CF fighter himself, Chimaev first appeared to global audiences when he joined the Bahrain-based MMA promotion back in 2018. It was inside the promotion that the Chechen-Swedish powerhouse showed his credentials, a game based on world class wrestling, powerful combinations, and, most of all, lots and lots of aggressiveness.
Even after joining the UFC in 2020, Chimaev still attends BRAVE CF events both in support of the promotion and his teammates competing at the Bahrain-based organization. On August 24, 2020, he attended “BRAVE CF 40” in Stockholm to support his teammate Husein Kadimagomaev, 21, of Switzerland, who knocked out Sven “Fujin” Fortenbacher, 28, of Germany.
“BRAVE CF 54” is the first ever BRAVE CF event to take place in Poland. It will be promoted in association with Galana Exclusive Championship (GEC).
