The coronation ceremony of the 49th edition of Miss Intercontinental will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt on October 29, 2021. It was supposed to take place in India but the venue was changed due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic situation in the South Asian country.

Reigning Miss Intercontinental 2019 Fanni Miko, 23, of Hungary will crown her successor at the Sunrise Diamond Beach Resort in Sharm el-Sheik, Egypt on October 30, 2021. Crowned on December 20, 2019, she is the Miss Intercontinental queen with the longest reign as she was not able to crown her successor in 2020 due to the pandemic.
