Both from Aurora, Colorado, United States, Destiny Marie James, 29, and Adreonna Uvenai Adair, 26, were recently arrested. They were each charged with resisting a public officer and violation of airport conduct.
On January 6, 2022, James and Adair were at the Harry Reid International Airport in Paradise, Clark County, Nevada, USA. At around 4:30 p.m. that day, the two women from Aurora beat up a female Spirit Airlines employee, witnesses told the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Because of the attack, the Spirit Airlines employee’s glasses were broken and one of her eyes had lacerations so she was taken to the hospital. Her name was not released.
During the investigation, neither James nor Adair cooperated and the two women tried to leave the airport, according to the LVMPD. The two were eventually arrested that day and are expected to appear in court on March 3, 2022.
Aside from Aurora, Adair has lived in other parts of Colorado including Greeley. From 2013 to 2017, she studied special education and teaching at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
James gave birth to a daughter in 2016. On September 6, 2021, she took to Facebook to share a photo of herself and wrote, “I’m too sexy for your gang.”
Spirit Airlines is an ultra-low-cost carrier. It has yet to release a statement about the incident involving James and Adair.
Headquartered in Miami, Florida, Spirit Airlines was founded in Macomb County, Michigan, USA as Charter One Airlines in 1983. It commenced operations in 1990 and was renamed Spirit Airlines in 1993.
