Tiffany Sara Cornilia Haddish, 42, of California, United States was arrested in Peachtree City, Georgia, USA at around 4:00 a.m. on January 14, 2022. The comedian and actress was in the area to partake in filming for “Haunted Mansion.”
At around 2:30 a.m. that day, Peachtree City Police Department officers responded to a 911 call regarding a driver asleep at the wheel on the roadway. One of the officers “observed a vehicle matching the description and ultimately conducted a traffic stop as the vehicle pulled into the yard of a residence,” the department said in a statement obtained by CNN.
At around 4:00 a.m., Haddish was arrested for driving under the influence. She was allegedly under the influence of marijuana.
Haddish was booked into the Fayette County Jail in Fayetteville, Georgia. After being in police custody for a few hours, she posted a $1,666 bond and was released.
Written by Katie Dippold and directed by Justin Simien, “Haunted Mansion” is based on the Disneyland ride of the same name. Filming locations include Atlanta, Georgia.
Haddish plays a psychic in “Haunted House.” Among her co-stars are Rosario Dawson as a single mother named Gabbie, Lakeith Stanfield as a tour guide, Owen Wilson as a priest and Danny DeVito as a college history professor.
The story revolves around Gabbie who discovers that the mansion she just bought is inhabited by ghosts. She enlists the help of Haddish, Stanfield, Wilson and DeVito’s characters to exorcise the mansion.
From 2019 to 2021, Haddish played Tuca in “Tuca & Bertie.” She played Aisha/Terri in “Solar Opposites” and Kitty in “The Freak Brothers” from 2020 to 2021.
In 2021, Haddish starred in “On the Count of Three,” “Bad Trip,” “Here Today” and “The Card Counter.” She will also star in “Easter Sunday,” “The Unbearable Weight of a Massive Talent” and “Back on the Strip,” which are expected to be released in 2022.
