Terrance L. Owens, 20, of Akron, Summit County, Ohio, United States has been arrested. He is accused of fatally shooting Tyler Flinn, 25, of Akron in Fairlawn, Summit County.
Owens has been charged with one count of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated robbery and was booked into Summit County Jail in Akron. His mugshots have yet to be released.

At around 1:45 p.m. on January 16, 2022, Finn was found in a parking lot of an apartment complex in Fairlawn with a gunshot wound near his head and neck. He was shot multiple times outside the apartment complex.
After the shooting, two African-American men fled the scene in a white mid-sized vehicle, witnesses told the Fairlawn Police Department. Finn was pronounced dead at the scene after police officers performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him.
Finn’s family was informed that the shooting took place as part of a robbery. He leaves behind a son, 4.
The family plans to have funeral services on January 25, 2022, according to Finn’s grandmother Jackie Jones. She told the Akron Beacon Journal, “Tyler was really a nice guy. He was soft spoken.”
Incorporated as a village in 1836 and as a city in 1865, Akron is the county seat of Summit County. The city’s incumbent and 62nd mayor Dan Horrigan, 58, assumed office on January 1, 2016.
Akron is the fifth largest city in Ohio. National Basketball Association players LeBron James, 37, and Stephen Curry, 33, were both born in the city.
