Collinsville, Oklahoma’s Kenneth Dale Walker found guilty for beating pregnant niece

Kenneth Dale Walker, 54, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, United States has been convicted of assault resulting in serious bodily injury in Indian Country. On January 20, 2022, he was found guilty for severely beating and strangling his pregnant niece.

On July 14, 2021, Walker argued with his pregnant niece, who refused to provide him a set of keys to her home because of his recent erratic behavior at the residence, according to U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson. During the argument, he allegedly head-butted his niece and shoved her into a recliner.

Because of the headbutt, the niece flipped backward and her head collided with a small table. He then allegedly stood over her and kicked her in the stomach multiple times, lunged at her, tried to gouge her eyes with his thumbs and strangled her until she could not breathe.

After hearing the commotion from the other room inside the house, the niece’s boyfriend came to the rescue and Walker left the house. The niece and her boyfriend called 911 and the Collinsville Police Department responded to the scene.

Because of the attack, Walker’s niece sustained a concussion and multiple contusions and abrasions to her neck, face and back. The strangulation compromised her ability to breath and she experienced the prolonged obstruction of blood flow to her brain, which impaired her brain function.

In addition to Walker’s federal conviction, he has been convicted of assault and battery three times, domestic assault and battery three times and violation of a protective order. He was further convicted of various drug and gun offenses in Oklahoma.

Walker is the son of Tommy Walker Jr. and La Donna Ruth Walker. Tommy passed away in Collinsville on April 25, 2021.
