TRUE Linkswear is one of the brands that are familiar with golfers. Crafted for the walking golfer, the brand’s golf shoes offer comfort, durability and versatility both on and off the links.
“We wanted to make true links gear,” TRUE Linkswear chief executive officers Jason Moore recently told CBS Sports. “(We wanted to make) something that was actually designed to walk seven or 14 miles in on 36-hole days that could also be waterproof enough to go play in Scotland or Ireland (and) something breathable for hot weather climates that players are playing in.”
“We didn’t think that was represented well in the marketplace,” Moore continued. “We launched and had no idea that it would turn into this but we’re thrilled. The response from the golf community has been phenomenal.”
.
Based in Tacoma, Washington, United States, TRUE Linkswear was founded by Ryan Moore, 39, in 2009. He made his professional golf debut in 2005 and is currently playing on the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA) Tour.
One commendable thing about the company is that it uses sustainable materials to make shoes. Its new model called the All Day Ripstop, which is available for $150 in men’s and women’s sizes, uses a completely recycled and water-resistant ripstop shell made from polyester, recycled EVA midsole and a wool liner.
With the wool liner, The All Day Ripstop keep a golfer warm when it is cold and cool when it is warm. Jason told the Golf News Net, “Sustainability is a major focus of TRUE and we are continuing to push even further into environmentally friendly materials and sustainable business practices in 2022 and the All Day Ripstop is a testament to that.”
Golfers also like TRUE Linkswear’s marquee golf shoe called the Lux Knit for its breathable feel and waterproof construction. One pair is prized at $195.
