Central Islip, New York’s Paul Albinagorta, Natalia Pascual charged with child endangerment

Both from Central Islip, Town of Islip, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, United States, Paul Albinagorta, 34, and Natalia Pascual, 22, were recently arrested. The two are a couple and they have a baby together.

At around 4:20 p.m. on February 5, 2022, Albinagorta and Pascual allegedly left their baby in a car that was turned off in the parking lot of the Target on Sunrise Highway in Bayshore, Town of Islip. When they returned to the car 10 minutes later, they were arrested by Suffolk County Police Department officers who responded to a 911 call.

Temperatures were in the 20s but the baby did not appear to be in distress, according to the officers. After being transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, Town of Islip for observation, the baby was released into the custody of a family member.

Albinagorta was booked into the Suffolk County Police Department’s third precinct in North Bay Shore, Town of Islip while Pascual was held at a precinct in Hauppauge, Suffolk County. They were each charged with endangering the welfare of a child. 

It was not the first time Albinagorta was arrested by Suffolk County Police Department. Accused of having sexual contact with a girl, then 15, he was arrested by the department and was convicted of rape in the third degree on September 10, 2009.

Central Islip is home to the New York Institute of Technology and Touro Law Center. The hamlet has two private schools namely Our Lady of Providence Regional School and St. John of God.

Including Central Islip and West Islip, the Town of Islip has 24 unincorporated hamlets. Served entirely by Suffolk County Transit bus routes, the town is one of the 10 towns in Suffolk County and is located on the south shore of Long Island.
