Taiwan is one of the countries helping Ukraine, which is being attacked by Russia. The East Asian country officially called the Republic of China has sent 27 tons of medical supplies to Ukraine.
More than 500,000 people have fled Ukraine to neighboring countries since Russia started invading Ukraine on February 24, 2022. In a statement obtained by Reuters, the foreign ministry of Taiwan said as a member of the international community’s democratic camp, the country is willing to act in the spirit of “Taiwan Can Help” and will provide Ukraine with “urgently needed medical relief supplies in a timely manner” based on humanitarian considerations.

She was a member of the Legislative Yuan from February 1, 2005 to January 24, 2006 and Taiwan’s vice premier from January 25, 2006 to May 21, 2007.
Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy
Volodymyr Zelenskyy (Володимир Зеленський), 44 has been the president of Ukraine since May 20, 2019. He is the sixth person to hold the position.
Born in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine, Zelenskyy obtained his law degree from the Kyiv National Economic University in Kyiv, Ukraine before pursuing an acting career. He played the role of a high school history teacher who became the president of Ukraine in the political satire comedy television series “Servant of the People,” which aired from October 16, 2015 to March 28, 2019.
Russia’s Vladimir Putin
Vladimir Putin (Владимир Путин), 69, has been the president of Russia since May 7, 2012. He became the country’s acting president on December 31, 1999, elected as the president on May 7, 2000, reelected on March 14, 2004 and became the country’s prime minister from May 8, 2008 to May 7, 2012.
Born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Putin earned his law degree in 1975 from the Leningrad State University, which was renamed St. Petersburg State University in 1992. The title of his undergraduate thesis was “The Most Favored Nation Trading Principle in International Law.”
