Volodymyr Zelenskyy, 44, of Ukraine is being hailed as a hero amid the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. But Madison Cawthorn, 26, of North Carolina, United States seems to view the Ukrainian president differently.
“Remember that Zelenskyy is a thug,” the North Carolina congressman says in a video obtained by WRAL. “Remember that the Ukrainian government is incredibly corrupt and is incredibly evil and has been pushing woke ideologies.”
The video was taken more than a week after Vladimir Putin, 69, of Russia announced on February 24, 2022 that Russia was initiating a special military operation in Donbas, Ukraine. Apparently, Cawthorn is a fan of neither Zelenskyy nor Putin.
On March 10, 2022, Cawthorn took to Twitter to accuse Zelenskyy of pushing misinformation on America. The American politician also condemned Putin’s actions.
