BIOGRAPHY

Mamaeva is a Moldovan-Canadian financial analyst, entrepreneur, author, model and beauty queen from Maple, Ontario, Canada. Born and raised in Moldova, she has four siblings.

From Moldova, Mamaeva moved to Canada with her grandparents. In 2017, she started being involved with the Canadian Cancer Society and after the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic started in 2020, she created a free financial literacy program called FinPowered.

  • On August 17, 2019, she represented Central Ontario in Miss Universe Canada 2019 in Toronto. As fourth runner-up, she was crowned Miss Tourism World Canada 2019.
  • On October 6, 2019, she represented Canada at Miss Tourism World 2019 and competed against 66 other candidates in Qingdao, Shandong, China. She was runner-up to Michelle Hewitt Zapata of Mexico.

2020s

  • On July 3, 2021, she took to Instagram to thank Kerby Center for supporting FinPowered and giving her the opportunity to run free financial education workshops.
  • On October 24, 2020, she represented Maple in Miss Universe Canada 2020 in Toronto. She won the Humanitarian Award and finished third runner-up.
  • On November 7, 2020, she was crowned Miss World Canada 2020.
  • In December 2021, she represented Canada at Miss World 2021 and competed against 96 other candidates in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was selected as one of the 40 quarterfinalists.
  • On March 16, 2022, she competed against 39 other quarterfinalists during the Miss World 2021 coronation night at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan. She did not make it to the Top 13.
  • In February 2023, she became a senior financial analyst at Brookfield Properties.
  • On May 21 2025, her book “Money On Her Terms: A Step-by-Step Guide to Financial Freedom for Women” was independently published.
