Antonio Sherrodd McGarity, 34, of Tacoma, Washington, United States was onboard Southwest Airlines flight 3814 en route from Seattle, Washington to Phoenix, Arizona on April 2, 2022. The flight was from 6:12 a.m. to 8:49 a.m.
Seated in seat 11F, Garity exposed his penis shortly after takeoff. While the aircraft was in the air, he masturbated at least four times while in view of a female passenger seated in seat 11E.
The female passenger took photos of McGarity with his hand on his erect penis. When he fell asleep during the flight, she advised the flight crew about the incident and was moved to another seat.
Phoenix Police Department officers interviewed the female passenger after the aircraft landed at the Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix. She told them that aside from masturbating on four separate occasions during the flight, McGarity also licked a white substance from his fingers.
When Federal Bureau of Investigation special agents interviewed McGarity, he admitted that he had an orgasm during the Southwest Airlines flight from Seattle to Phoenix. He said he knew the female passenger seated in seat 11E was aware that he was masturbating and she used her cellphone to capture him doing it.
According to McGarity, he asked the female passenger if she minded if he masturbates. He claimed that she put her hands in the air and said, “It doesn’t really matter.”
An FBI special agent filed a criminal complaint against McGarity, which was signed by U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael T. Morrissey on April 3, 2022. McGarity is facing charges related to lewd, indecent or obscene acts.
Southwest Airlines placed McGarity on its no-fly list, resulting in a lifetime ban from traveling on the airline headquartered in Dallas, Texas, USA. His mugshots have yet to be released.
