The 2022 general election in the Philippines will be on May 9, 2022. The country will elect its 17th president and all other national, provincial and local government officials except barangay officials.
2022 Philippine senatorial election
Every general election, the Philippines elects 12 new senators to replace the 12 outgoing senators, who may seek reelection. The winners will join the 12 incumbent senators who have three remaining years in office.
This will be the 34th election of members of the senate of the Philippines. The winners will serve from June 30, 2022 to June 30, 2028.
A total of 178 people filed candidacies for senator from October 1-8, 2021. Only 64 of them were declared as official candidates while the others either withdrew or were disqualified.
