  2. She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of New Orleans in New Orleans and her juris doctorate from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in New Orleans.
  3. She is 8 years younger than Jason R. Williams of New Orleans. He was the Orleans Parish district attorney when she was his law partner. He owns Jason Rogers Williams & Associates, where she worked as a civil litigator and an administrative attorney.

She and Williams allegedly conspired to reduce his tax liability for the 2013 through 2017 tax years by classifying personal expenses as business expenses on the Profit and Loss from a Business portion of his tax returns. The fraudulent tax returns reportedly reduced his tax liability in excess of $200,000.
  5. Between June 2017 and August 2018, she and Williams allegedly failed to file the required IRS Forms 8300 for receipt of cash payments over $10,000.
  6. When she applied for Medicaid in 2018, she claimed that she had a monthly income of $2,000 and her husband earned $1,709 every two weeks but their joint tax returns revealed that they had $276,820 in income that year. She allegedly received improper Medicaid benefits worth $8,970 throughout that year.
  7. On January 25, 2019, she was crowned the Queen of the Krewe of Freret at the Hyatt Grand Ballroom in New Orleans.

On June 26, 2020, a federal grand jury in New Orleans returned an 11-count indictment charging her and Williams with conspiracy to defraud the United States, aiding and assisting in the preparation and presentation of false and fraudulent tax returns, and failure to file IRS Forms 8300 relating to cash received in trade or business.
  9. Represented by Mike Magner, she turned herself into authorities on the morning of April 13, 2022 and was released on her own recognizance a short time later.
  10. She and Williams  are scheduled for trial in federal court on 11 counts of tax fraud on July 18, 2022.
