Marquise Love Robinson, 20, of Columbia, South Carolina, United States has been arrested by the Columbia Police Department (CPD) in connection with the shooting incident at Columbiana Centre in Columbia, South Carolina on the afternoon of April 16, 2022. No one was killed but nine people were shot and six people suffered injuries while trying to flee the mall for safety.
At least three suspects displayed firearms inside the mall, according to the CPD. The department is working to determine how many suspects discharged firearms.

Robinson was charged with one count each of attempted murder and unlawful carrying of a pistol and nine counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature (ABHAN). He was taken into custody in Columbia on April 18, 2022, according to CPD chief William H. “Skip” Holbrook.
In South Carolina, ABHAN is a violent crime that is not self-defense. A suspect is charged with ABHAN if he or she attacked the victim without legal justification or used a means of attack that does or could cause great bodily injury or death, according to Saluda Law.
Jewayne Marquise Price
The first suspect arrested in connection with the shooting incident is Jewayne Marquise Price, 22, of South Carolina. Robinson is the second suspect.
Price was charged with one count each of unlawful carrying of a pistol and attempted murder and nine counts of ABHAN. Both he and Robinson are being held at the Lexington County Detention Center in Lexington, South Carolina.
During a bond hearing on April 17, 2022 at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Columbia, Price was given a $25,000 surety bond. Robinson will have a bond hearing on April 19, 2022.
Amari Sincere-Jamal Smith
Meanwhile, the CPD is searching for the third suspect Amari Sincere-Jamal “Mari” Smith, 21, of Columbia. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Smith is facing charges of one count each of unlawful carrying of a pistol and attempted murder and nine counts of ABHAN. He, Robinson and Price knew each other prior to the shooting, according to Holbrook.
