Shreveport, Louisiana cop Raheem Roque charged with malfeasance


Raheem A. Roque, 27, of Shreveport, Louisiana, United States is a former Shreveport Police Department officer. He previously lived in Bossier City, Louisiana and in Dallas, Texas, USA.

In February 2019, Roque joined the Shreveport Police Department. During a use of force encounter in January 2022, he allegedly committed policy violations. 

On April 18, 2022, Roque’s employment as a Shreveport Police Department officer ended. On April 21, 2022, a warrant for his arrest was issued.

On April 22, 2022, Roque surrendered himself to Caddo Correctional Center in Shreveport and his bond was set at $10,000. He was charged with one count of malfeasance.



Malfeasance is a wrongful or unlawful conduct intentionally committed by an official or a public employee. As compared to nonfeasance and misfeasance, malfeasance is at a higher level of wrongdoing.

Nonfeasance is the failure to act where there was a duty to act. Misfeasance is a conduct that is lawful but inappropriate.


Shreveport, Louisiana

Founded in 1836 by the Shreve Town Company, Shreveport was incorporated on March 20, 1839. It is the third most populous city in Louisiana.

Former National Football League players Alan Autry, 69, Stan Humphries, 57, Kenny Davidson, 54, and Arnaz Battle, 42, and NFL player Tre’Davious White, 27, were born in Shreveport. The city’s incumbent mayor Adrian Perkins, 36, was also born in the city.
