CoI made my Miss Universe Philippines 2022 predictions while watching the competition’s national costume presentation on April 26, 2022. Before this, I watched the quarterfinals’ interview round twice.

There are 32 semifinalists who are competing for the title. They will all be presented at the coronation night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on April 30, 2022.

Based on the winners of the first two editions of Miss Universe Philippines, I have a strong feeling that the winner of this third edition is also a dark horse or someone who is not a veteran. This means the fan favorites are not likely to win the crown.

Representing the Philippines, Rabiya Mateo finished in the Top 21 at Miss Universe 2020 and Beatriz Luigi Gomez finished in the Top 5 at Miss Universe 2021. Neither of them was a fan favorite in their respective national qualifiers and it was both their first national beauty pageant.

During the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 coronation night, from 32, only 16 will advance to the final round. They will be further trimmed down to Top 10 then Top 5.

The top candidate will represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2022 while the second and third placers will have non-competing titles and the fourth and fifth placers will be the respective first and second runners-up. Here are my predictions:
