The world’s best badminton players are set to meet at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand for the TotalEnergies BWF Thomas and Uber Cup Finals 2022 that will be held on May 8-15, 2022.
Key players to look out for at the BWF Thomas Cup Finals 2022
There will be a plethora of superstars in the 32nd edition of the BWF Thomas Cup Finals 2022, including nine of the top ten in men’s singles.
Group A has the most with three: Indonesia’s Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Jonatan Christie are ranked fifth and eighth, respectively, with reigning World Champion and 10th-ranked Loh Kean Yew making his competition debut with Singapore.
Over in Group B, world number one and reigning Olympic champion Viktor Axelsen and third-ranked Anders Antonsen lead the way for Denmark. Group C has fourth-ranked Chou Tien-chen of Chinese Taipei and ninth-ranked Lakshya Sen of India.
Group D will be a faceoff between world number two Momota Kento and seventh-ranked Lee Zii Jia when Japan and Malaysia go head-to-head.

The women to watch out for at the BWF Uber Cup Finals 2022
Everyone in the top ten of the BWF women’s singles world rankings are expected to take part in the 29th staging of the BWF Uber Cup Finals 2022.
Current World Champion and number two Yamaguchi Akane and number five Okuhara Nozomi will lead the way for Japan in Group A. Apart from that, they have three of the Top 10 pairs in women’s doubles.
Group B is the most stacked with a quartet of the Top 10 in it. Chinese Taipei’s world number one Tai Tzu-ying will be facing the likes of Spain’s sixth-ranked Carolina Marín as well as China’s third-ranked Chen Yufei and ninth-ranked He Bingjiao.
Host Thailand is the overwhelming favorite in Group C, with former World Champion and number eight Ratchanok Intanon and 10nth-ranked Pornpawee Chochuwong at the helm of their squad. India and Korea will provide the fireworks on Group D, Pusarla Venkata Sindhu and fourth-ranked An Se-young headlining their respective countries.
