Bobby East stabbing suspect Trent William Millsap shot in Anaheim, California


Trent William Millsap has died. He was 27.

On July 16, 2022, Millsap’s sister Rosa Yolanda Millsap of Chicago, Illinois, United States took to Facebook to announce his passing. She wrote, “It’s with a heavy heart I make this post, my Brother passed away last night, it hasn’t hit me yet that he is gone.”

“Please send your thoughts as we prepare for this hard journey,” Rosa continued. “I love you so much Bro.”


A homeless man on parole for armed robbery and a parole violation, Trent had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. He frequented different parts of Orange County, California, USA including Westminster, Garden Grove and Anaheim.

Shortly before 6:00 p.m. on July 13, 2022, Trent allegedly fatally stabbed former National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) driver Bobby East, 37, in the chest while the latter was fueling up at a gas station in Westminster. The victim was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.


On July 15, 2022, a special weapons and tactics (SWAT) team executed a search warrant at an apartment in Anaheim where they found Trent. The police who were trying to arrest him fatally shot him.

Trent was 6’5″ tall and he had a muscular build. He died at University of California, Irvine (UCI) Medical Center in Orange, California.
