BRAVE Combat Federation will hold its 60th event in Isa Town, Bahrain on July 30, 2022. A total of six countries are represented in the event, which are Brazil, Colombia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, South Africa and the United States.
Featuring eight mixed martial arts matches, “BRAVE CF 60” will be headlined by Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, 33, of Sao Paulo, Brazil and Henrique Marques, 30, of Goias, Brazil. In the co-main event of the evening, Luan “Miau” Santiago, 27, of Parana, Brazil will fight Mihail Cotruta, 32, of Chisinau, Moldova in the super lightweight division.
Both Santiago and Cotruta are known for their forward, aggressive style. Before the “BRAVE CF 60” fight night, the Moldovan MMA fighter has a warning to his Brazilian opponent.
“Luan, I hope you had a good training camp and that you are ready because I am not used to easy fights,” Cotruta said. “I hope it will be a hard fight.”
“We have a big responsibility owed to BRAVE CF and the fans,” the Moldovan MMA fighter. “We are getting this big chance and we must prove why we deserve this.”
Cotruta said he has nothing but respect for Santiago. The MMA fighter from Chisinau explained, “We are doing the same job so let’s make a very good fight.”
“I pray there will be no injuries, no problems, nothing,” Cotruta continued. “I just want to go and do my job and I wish the same for him. It’s nothing personal but mark my words, I will do all in my power to make this a Fight of the Night match.”
.
Originally, “BRAVE CF 60” was set to be held in Goiania, Brazil. However, BRAVE CF decided to move it to Bahrain weeks before the fight night.
“BRAVE CF’s number one priority is fighters,” BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid explained. “This move will make sure all of the 16 athletes have the opportunity to get paid and prove themselves in the brightest lights of mixed martial arts.”
“BRAVE CF 60” marks Cotruta’s second BRAVE CF bout. Fighting professionally since April 28, 2012, he made his promotional debut on September 25, 2021 at “BRAVE CF 54” where he was knocked out by Mohamed Grabinski, 30, of Düsseldorf, Germany.
