Miss Universe Myanmar 2020 Thuzar Wint Lwin (သူဇာဝင့်လွင်), 23, of Hakha, Chin State, Myanmar will crown her successor on August 28, 2022. It is the ninth edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Myanmar’s Miss Universe candidate.

Burma was represented in Miss Universe by Than Than Aye in 1959, Myint Myint May in 1960 and Khin Myint Myint in 1961. As Myanmar, the country returned to the competition in 2013.

Thuzar was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2020 at Novotel Max Hotel in Yangon, Myanmar on December 30, 2020. On May 16, 2021, she finished in the Top 21 at Miss Universe 2020 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, United States, giving Myanmar its first ever Miss Universe placement.
