Gordon Mueller, 58, of Harbor City, Los Angeles, California, United States married Delores Mueller, 58, on June 10, 1983. The two co-founded the Believers’ Victory International Church in Carson, Los Angeles County, California where he serves as a pastor.

Gordon and Delores have a daughter who is married to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy but they are separated. The daughter and the deputy have one son together.

At around 7:04 p.m. on July 25, 2022, the deputy arrived at Gordon and Delores’s home in Harbor City. The deputy’s wife and their son also live there.

Why the deputy went there that evening is still unknown. He was off-duty at the time.

In an apparent family dispute, Gordon allegedly shot the deputy. The pastor was arrested while his son-in-law was taken to the hospital.

The deputy is now in stable condition. Gordon was charged with attempted murder and his bail was set at $1 million.

Carson was incorporated on February 20, 1968. The city is home to the major commuter school California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) and the sports complex Dignity Health Sports Park.

Lula Davis-Holmes is the incumbent mayor of Carson. Both “All Eyez on Me” actor Demetrius Shipp, Jr., 33, and “Moonlight” actor Ashton Sanders, 26, were born in the city.
