Miss Angola Universo 2019 Salett Miguel, 23, of Cuanza, Angola will crown her successor at the Pérola dos Navegantes in Benguela, Angola on August 6, 2022. It is the 25th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Angola’s Miss Universe candidate and the first under the directorship of Leila Lopes.
Currently, Angola has four Miss Universe placements including the coronation of Lopes in 2011. Representing the African country, Ana José Sebastião and Telma de Jesus Sonhi finished in the Top 15 in 2003 and 2004, respectively, while Micaela Reis finished in the Top 10 in 2007.
