In 2012, Yu and her husband got married. In July 2022, he fell ill and started growing suspicious of her so he set up surveillance video.

On August 4, 2022, Yu’s husband captured video evidence supporting his suspicion and turned it over to Irvine Police Department. Just after 6:00 p.m. that day, detectives from the department interviewed her and served a search warrant for the couple’s house in Irvine where they arrested her.

On August 8, 2022, Yu will appear in court. Despite significant internal injuries, her husband is expected to recover.

Providence Mission Hospital, where the Chinese-American dermatologist has privileges, is aware of her arrest and is cooperating fully with the Irvine Police Department. In a statement obtained by The Orange County Register, the hospital said, “This incident is a domestic matter which occurred in Irvine and we want to reassure our community that there has been no impact on our patients.”

  1. Wow. The husband has a lot of fluid and bruising around his eyes…. I’m just guessing that she illegally acquired some sort of drug from her workplace pharmacy that has hemotoxic properties. If so, it would break down blood cells and circulatory system, damage his liver, kidneys, lungs… Basically all the organs… Like a rattlesnake bite would do.
The bloody edema around his eys being the clue I’m firming this hypothesis on.
