Dr. Yue P. Yu, 45, of Irvine, Orange County, California, United States is a board certified physician who specializes in dermatology and practices medicine at Mission Heritage Medical Group in Mission Viejo, Orange County. She has extensive experience in skin cancer and excision, Mohs surgery and cosmetic skin procedures.

In 2006, Yu graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. She completed her internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and her residency at Boston Medical Center, which are both in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

In 2012, Yu and her husband got married. In July 2022, he fell ill and started growing suspicious of her so he set up surveillance video.

On August 4, 2022, Yu’s husband captured video evidence supporting his suspicion and turned it over to Irvine Police Department. Just after 6:00 p.m. that day, detectives from the department interviewed her and served a search warrant for the couple’s house in Irvine where they arrested her.

Yu was booked into the Orange County Jail in Santa Ana, Orange County. On August 5, 2022, she was released after posting $30,000 bond.

On August 8, 2022, Yu will appear in court. Despite significant internal injuries, her husband is expected to recover.

Providence Mission Hospital, where the Chinese-American dermatologist has privileges, is aware of her arrest and is cooperating fully with the Irvine Police Department. In a statement obtained by The Orange County Register, the hospital said, “This incident is a domestic matter which occurred in Irvine and we want to reassure our community that there has been no impact on our patients.”
